Our independent brands
If you like to support local cafés rather than chains, then visit our very own Coffee Corner (pictured) that offers great coffee and lunches with veggie and vegan options, too. Also pop into All Sorts of Sweets and Treats, with pick n mix and sweets poured into bags from traditional glass jars. Finally, another go-to spot in front of Primark is Beach Treats serving ice cream and popular treats.
East Kent Mind
Our charity partner for Independents Day is East Kent Mind, as mental health is so important. We're collecting for them on the day, so if you like to support Mind then please donate generously. Margate Mayoress Karen Brinkman works closely with the charity and we thank her for her involvement in organising this brilliant event. Find out more about supporting the charity.
Visit the Mall Talk tent
We're encouraging kind conversations in our Mall Talk station, located in the green space next to Primark. To drive mental health awareness, there are pop-up areas to sit and talk, be mindful and share chats with others. Everyone's welcome to come into the Mall Talk tent. Also, a mixture of life coaches, mentors, therapists, counsellors, celebrants and mental health first aiders are alongside our East Kent Mind information table.
